Each year the nearly 10,000 members of the various Business and Marketing Education Programs across the State of New Jersey participate in a statewide DECA competition.  DECA’s mission is to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in the fields of marketing, management, finance and hospitality.  This is an opportunity for students to compete in many related fields that include: Retail Management, Sports and Entertainment, Business and Financial Services, Travel and Tourism, Automotive Services, Fashion Merchandising, and 45 other career competitions.

90% of students who participate in DECA plan to further their careers in marketing, management, finance, hospitality and entrepreneurship.  DECA students are 3 times more likely to start a business, twice as likely to enter finance and accounting fields and 86% report an A or B grade average in school.  These students compete for the opportunity to win scholarships, awards and travel to international competition.

In order to offer this unique opportunity for our students, we are in need of business people who would be willing to share their expertise in this setting.  This year our conferences will be held at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City on March 2nd and 3rd.
